Stagedoor Manor offers a world of Special Events, Celebrity Master Classes, and Performance Opportunities.
Performance Master Classes, like OUR TIME CABARET and PLAYER'S ENSEMBLE, extend the performance opportunities in both music and drama.
DRAMAFEST participants write and direct their own shows, then have their efforts published through
The House of Plays, Samuel French. Invited industry celebrities view performances and offer professional feedback.
Many Stagedoor alumni, now successful in the entertainment industry, return to share their experiences
with students wanting to follow the same path. Creative teams from Broadway hits (writers, lyricists, directors, and original cast members)
visit to workshop at our rehearsals and inspire us with insight into the creation of their shows.
Working with writers and directors in exploring new material, Stagedoor students can experience the
discovery and creation of Premiere Productions! Major companies and successful authors often use our stages to
workshop and premiere Broadway material before licensing to the rest of the world!
Recent premiere workshops include RENT, SWEENEY TODD, AVENUE Q, LETTERS TO SALA, and Andrew Lippa's THE WILD PARTY! |

Stagedoor students work directly with authors and lyricists, sharing their vision and becoming a part of history.
Workshop productions of RENT and SWEENEY TODD School Editions, originating in our theaters, are now leased worldwide.
Creative talents like Andrew Lippa, Richard Maltby, and Jeff Whitty, workshop rehearsals and view performances to offer insight.
In 2006, Stagedoor Manor produced the first on-stage production of Disney's HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL.

In addition to our primary full-scale productions, The OUR TIME CABARET is an hour-long musical revue with a different cast each session.
This original and creative look at the world of performance is a 30-year tradition at Stagedoor.
Through music and movement, the cast of 35 students chronicles the ups and downs of making it "in the biz" and offers the audience an emotional glimpse of our hopes and dreams. |

PLAYER'S ENSEMBLE is an innovative dramatic troupe that explores the impact of theater history and personal experience.
Using cast improvisation, along with published material, this hour-long performance changes each session, as the work is tailored to its 16-member ensemble.
PLAYER'S is a unique insight into the evolution of ourselves as performers and our membership in the theatrical community. |
